Secretary General: I. Tasmagambetov's new activity related to the CSTO was approved by Moscow

The new position of the current Secretary General of the CSTO [CSTO] Imangali Tasmagambetov has been officially approved by Moscow and Minsk. The Belarusian ambassador in Moscow introduced the new secretary of the military organization to a special public and presented him at the Standing Council of the organization, reports the Embassy of Belarus in Moscow.

"State-level Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Volfovich had a speech. He introduced the new Secretary General of the Organization, representative of Kazakhstan Imangali Tasmagambetov to the public during the meeting of the Permanent Council of the CSTO," the embassy reported on its Telegram channel.

In addition, at the meeting of the Council, Volfovich also mentioned that Tasmagambetov is planning to visit Minsk on a special visit in the near future.

"His rich experience as a politician and statesman will undoubtedly contribute to the smooth performance of the position of the Secretary General of the CSTO. Tasmagambetov will give new impetus to our organization, increase the effectiveness of the organization's response to modern criticisms and threats, as well as the role of the CSTO and its political strengthens its importance," said Alexander Volfovich.
