Only the years of independence made it possible to study and return to the cultural space of the country the heritage of many famous figures of the Kazakh people. In Soviet times, they were not only consigned to oblivion, but their works were purposefully destroyed. Often, only thanks to relatives, friends, it was possible to save books, manuscripts from destruction.

One of the unrecognized figures in the Soviet era was the famous thinker, ethnographer, historian, poet Mashkhur Zhusup, whose grave the communists thought of destroying. Mashkhur Zhusup wrote in several languages ​​- Chagatai, Arabic, Kazakh, Farsi and Russian.

Currently, the creative heritage of Makhshur Zhusup Kopeev occupies a worthy place in the literature and society of Kazakhstan, his works have been published in 20 volumes, some of which have been translated into English. At various times, the original works of M. Zh. Kopeev were included in literary anthologies, textbooks and collections of Kazakh poetry. His deep research and predictions again and again make readers turn to the imperishable heritage of the Kazakh seer.
