A dragonfly statue has been built in Gagarin Park in Pavlodar, "Adyrna" correspondent reports.
According to the city administration, 2 mln. tenge were spent.
"The idea of putting a statue of a dragonfly was proposed by the residents of the city. Because the people of the city see this animal as a symbol of the fight against mosquitoes," says Saltanat Akimbekova, press secretary of Pavlodar city governor.
The department also noted that the monument is forged from iron and the base is cast from concrete.
It should be noted that the image of the dragonfly was created by sculptors Murat Abilkasymov and Viktor Tatarinovich.
