To understand the scale and grandeur of the victory of Kazakh schoolchildren in robotics competitions, it is enough to say that 14,000 teams from all over the world participated in the qualifying stage of the Olympiad.

According to Forbes.kz, Minister of Education Askhat Aimagambetov announced the success of Kazakh schoolchildren. According to him, Imangali Mynzhasar and Bibarys Mihash, students of the state school No. Zh. Zhabaev and IT Lyceum No. 9 of Shymkent, won the second place at the World Olympiad in Robotics.

“Our schoolchildren once again demonstrated a very high level and for the first time took 2nd place at the World Robotics Olympiad. It was held in the German city of Dortmund,” the minister said.

He noted that the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) has been held since 2004 and Kazakhstan has been participating in this Olympiad since 2014. In 2022, 365 teams from 73 countries competed for the title of the best in the final. And 15 thousand teams from all over the world participated in the qualifying stages.

“Children's victories on the world stage evoke a special sense of pride. Congratulations to our young and talented winners with such a high result! Also congratulations to their mentors and parents! I wish the children to reach further heights!” Askhat Aimagambetov noted
