McDonald's suspends work in Kazakhstan

McDonald's temporarily suspends all its restaurants in Kazakhstan, adyrna.kz reported.
"McDonald's in Kazakhstan (TOO Food Solutions KZ) will temporarily suspend the operation of all its restaurants from November 18 due to restrictions in local supplies. The company is making every effort to resume work as soon as possible. The timing of the opening of the restaurants will be announced later," the statement said.

The press service of the company emphasized that Food Solutions KZ LLP "has been working in Kazakhstan for more than 6 years and is one of the leaders in the fast-service restaurant industry".

"The company has 24 McDonald's restaurants in the following cities of Kazakhstan: Almaty, Astana, Atyrau, Aktobe, Kostanay, Karaganda and provides work for about 2,000 people. During the period of its activity, Food Solutions KZ LLP paid taxes in the amount of more than 3 billion tenge and actively participates in aid society. Over the past six years, the company has donated more than 80 million tenge to charity," the message states.
