The number of residents of Almaty is growing every year. 60 percent of it is realized through migration. President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev said this during a meeting with the residents of the metropolis, the correspondent of "Adyrna" wrote.

The growth of the city's population, in turn, has a significant impact on the city's social infrastructure. Now there are not enough places in kindergartens in the city for more than 19 thousand. In order to reduce this deficit, it is necessary to urgently build public and private kindergartens.

"Children need to be placed in private pre-school educational institutions through the state education order. I instruct the administration to cover 97 percent of children between three and six years of age with preschool education. This task must be fulfilled by 2025," said Tokayev.
