Development of the video surveillance system is also an important task. Today, more than 128,000 personal video surveillance cameras are installed in Almaty, only a quarter of which are integrated with the operational control center of the city police department. President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev announced this during a meeting with the people of the city, the correspondent of "Adyrna" reported.

The administration should adopt a regulation on the integration of individual video surveillance systems into a single dispatch center. Of course, with the consent of the owner.

Also, the Head of State needs to install about 20,000 cameras in objects not covered by video surveillance. Frequented public places, as well as areas of the city where most crimes occur, should be equipped with alarm buttons. He said that it is very important to ensure comprehensive security of educational and healthcare institutions of the city.

"Security cameras, alarm buttons, turnstiles, security and fire alarms should be installed there. I am going into detail about this because it is very important for the safety of citizens. It is very important to use this technology in railway stations, airport and other crowded places. This system should be fully operational in the city by 2026," he said.
