President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev went on a working trip to Samarkand to participate in the summit of the Organization of Turkic States, "Adyrna" correspondent reported with reference to Akorda.

He met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán within the framework of the Summit of the Organization of Turkic States.

The head of state expressed his intention to further strengthen relations between Kazakhstan and Hungary, including economic cooperation.

- Relations between our countries are developing well. However, I think that we should give new impetus to the cooperation between the two countries. In particular, the volume of trade turnover is still not at a satisfactory level. Both countries have great potential in this direction. Hungary is an important partner country for Kazakhstan. I know that you, as the Prime Minister, have been working hard to promote our cooperation in various fields, - said the Head of State.

In turn, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban thanked Kazakhstan for organizing the bilateral meeting.

- Relations between Kazakhstan and Hungary have a special place. I know that a few years ago, when I first served as Prime Minister, the cultural and economic ties between Kazakhstan and Hungary were very strong. Now business representatives should give a new impetus to the cooperation of the two countries. If large companies of Kazakhstan invest in Hungary, our economic relations would rise to a new level, said the Prime Minister of Hungary.

Cultural and humanitarian relations between Kazakhstan and Hungary, as well as international and regional agenda issues were discussed at the meeting.
