The member countries of the Organization of Turkic States plan to jointly develop a satellite in 2026. This was stated in the Gabala Declaration adopted following the XII Summit of the organization, reports Adyrna.

According to the document, the goal is to accelerate the production and launch of the 12U TDT-SAT Küp satellite, which is scheduled to be launched under the flag of the OTS in 2026. The project is regarded as a major achievement made possible through the joint experience and technological capabilities of the member states.

The Organization of Turkic States includes Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan, while Hungary is the only European observer state in the organization.

At the summit in Gabala, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev called on the Turkic countries to unite as a single center of power.

It should be noted that the XIII Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States will be held in Türkiye, and an informal summit is planned to take place in Kazakhstan in 2026.
