The FIDE World Cadet Chess Championships 2025, held in Almaty for children under 8, 10, and 12 years old, has come to an end. According to Adyrna, young Kazakh chess players won three gold medals.
Specifically, Alisha Bisaliyeva (G8, Girls U8), Adinur Adilbek (O8, Open U8), and Danis Kuandykuly (O12, Open U12) claimed top honors.
“The Kazakhstan team also ranked first in the overall standings. Alisha and Adinur secured their gold medals with draws in the final round, while Danis (World Champion 2023) repeated his historic success, becoming a two-time World Champion,” the Ministry of Tourism and Sports announced.
The championship brought together 842 young chess players from 88 countries, including 229 participants from all regions of Kazakhstan. In the team standings, Kazakhstan took first place, followed by China (1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze) in second place, and the USA (1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze) in third.
