Kazakhstan’s passport has ranked 61st in the world’s most powerful passports index. This was reported by the international Henley Passport Index, according to Adyrna.
According to the information, the index is compiled based on the number of countries that citizens can enter without a visa. At present, Kazakhstan citizens can travel visa-free to 79 countries.
Kazakhstan is ranked higher than a number of CIS and neighboring countries:
• Azerbaijan – 66th place;
• Armenia – 69th place;
• Mongolia – 70th place;
• Kyrgyzstan – 71st place;
• Uzbekistan – 72nd place;
• Tajikistan – 78th place;
• Turkmenistan – 84th place.
In the new list, Singapore takes first place (193 countries), followed by Japan and South Korea (190 countries). At the bottom of the ranking are the passports of Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria.
It should be noted that the Henley Passport Index is a global ranking based on the data of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Updated several times a year, this index is designed to help travelers assess the strength of a passport and explore visa-free travel opportunities.
