Kazakhstani social media users noticed that tickets for singer Polina Gagarina’s concert had disappeared from the Zakazbiletov.kz website, reports Adyrna national portal, citing Gazeta.ru.

Earlier, the singer had planned to hold her solo concert on November 27 at the Congress Center in Astana and opened ticket sales.

However, after the first promotional announcements, calls for a boycott of the Russian artist’s performance began spreading on social media, with demands for the concert to be completely canceled. In addition, a petition was launched on one online platform, where organizers were urged to stop the concert. According to the petition’s authors, Gagarina’s arrival in Kazakhstan could cause “social tension and division” within the country.

The petitioners recalled that Gagarina had openly expressed support for Russia and its “special military operation” in Ukraine in 2022. Opponents emphasized that such a stance contradicts Kazakhstan’s official foreign policy.

On Gagarina’s official website, the Astana concert date remains unchanged. Meanwhile, the tickets have been removed from the Zakazbiletov.kz site. Organizers have not yet issued an official announcement regarding the cancellation.

It should be noted that earlier, the concert of Jah Khalib (Bakhtiyar Mamedov) in Kazakhstan was also canceled.
