Nurlan Sauranbayev has been appointed Minister of Transport. The announcement was made on June 30 by the press service of Akorda, reports “Adyrna.”

“By the decree of the Head of State, Nurlan Ermekuly Sauranbayev has been appointed as the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” the statement reads.

Previously, he served as Chairman of the Management Board of “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” National Company.

Nurlan Sauranbayev was born in 1967

in the city of Zhambyl. He graduated from the S. M. Kirov Kazakh State University (now KazNU) and the Oil Industry Training Center in Italy. He is an economist by profession and holds a master’s degree in oil administration.

It is worth noting that on June 8, Marat Karabayev stepped down from the post of Minister of Transport, leaving the position vacant since then.
