As of now, there are 132 Kazakh citizens in Iran and 219 in Israel, according to Aibek Smadiyarov, the official spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who spoke at a briefing on June 16, reports “Adyrna.”

He stated that the consulates are in regular contact with Kazakh nationals and confirmed that no Kazakh citizens have been killed or injured.

Due to the escalation of conflict between Iran and Israel, about 300 Kazakh citizens are currently stranded in the UAE and unable to return home.

“At present, some flights from the UAE to Kazakhstan have been suspended, causing temporary difficulties for nearly 300 Kazakh nationals—most of whom are tourists. Our diplomats are working on-site. Thanks to upcoming agreements with airlines, we expect more than half of them to return home soon,” Smadiyarov explained.

He also advised Kazakh citizens in Israel and Iran to take extra safety precautions:

“We urge Kazakh nationals in Israel and Iran to avoid leaving their residences unless necessary, to strengthen personal safety measures, remain vigilant, follow the news, and adhere to local authorities’ instructions. We also ask them to stay in contact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Kazakh embassies in both countries,” he added.
