The number of antelope in the country will be reduced by 80,000, and permission will be given to shoot them


Kazakhstan  allowed to shoot 80,000 antelopes belonging to the Ural population starting from October. This was announced by the Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources, Serikkali Brekeshev, the national portal "Adirna" reported.

"Biotechnical and economic analysis has been completed. Scientists says that it is necessary to regulate the number of antelope. This will concern the population of the Urals. If there are 800,000 antelopes, then about 10% of them, i.e. 80,000 antelopes will be shot," said the minister.

According to him, the number of antelope in the country has reached 1 million 300 thousands. Out of that, 500 antelope will be taken for scientific research, and 10% of them will be shot from October 1.
