China has sanctioned two US weapons companies, Raytheon Technologies and Lockheed Martin.
"These two major arms companies supply Taiwan with weapons, which they say poses a threat to China's national security and sovereignty," the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.
The two US giants have supplied Taiwan with 108 M1A2T tanks worth $ 2.2 billion since 2019, 250 Stinger anti-aircraft missile systems, 1,240 anti-tank TOW systems and 409 Javelin units.
