Russia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs has sent a memo to Kazakhstani police officers. This was reported by the Atyrau Regional Police Department on January 5, according to “Adyrna” correspondent.
“A memo was received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation addressed to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, aimed at preventing the involvement of Kazakh citizens in drug-related crimes within the territory of the Russian Federation. The memo states that criminal and administrative liability is provided for the illegal circulation of the ‘adyraspan’ plant, which contains narcotic substances,” the statement said.
It should be noted that according to current Russian legislation, adyraspan is included in the list of plants containing narcotic or psychotropic substances or their precursors. The illegal transportation of this plant across the country’s borders is punishable by imprisonment for three to seven years.
