Export of sugar from Kazakhstan is prohibited

A decision was made to ban the export of sugar from Kazakhstan, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
The government announced that a decision was made to introduce a temporary ban on sugar exports to EAEU member countries until August 31, 2024. It is determined that the ban will be in force until the end of summer, until the new crop of sugar beet ripens in the country.
On May 6, at the meeting chaired by Vice Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin, the issues of supplying the domestic market with sugar before the new harvest of sugar beets were discussed.
