The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan has proposed establishing a special holiday in honor of the national dog breeds – Tazy and Tobet. The draft was published on the “Open NLA” portal, according to the “Adyrna” national portal.
The list of holidays will be updated with a new entry:
“11-1. Kazakh National Dog Breeds Day will be on the third of September,” the document states.
The ministry emphasized that this initiative plays an important role in promoting national cultural heritage, history, and traditions.
As part of the holiday, lectures, seminars, exhibitions, and other events will be organized to provide information on the unique characteristics and care of Kazakh dog breeds. These activities are also expected to contribute to tourism development and create new job opportunities in the field of cynology.
The ministry highlighted that the initiative will offer new opportunities for breeders, cynological organizations, and enthusiasts to exchange experiences and participate in exhibitions.
