The central park in Qonaev city has been named after writer Berdibek Sokpakbaev, reports “Adyrna.”
It is known that last year the 100th anniversary of Berdibek Sokpakbaev, a classic of children’s literature, was celebrated under the auspices of UNESCO.
The park, covering an area of 8 hectares, features fountains, a stage, seating for spectators, kiosks, and various small architectural sculptures. Benches, light fixtures, and trash bins have also been installed. Additionally, 584 trees have been planted in the park. A sports and football field has been built for the city’s residents and visitors.
