New regulations for the sale of energy drinks have been introduced in Kazakhstan, reports the “Adyrna” national portal.
Starting from January 1, 2025, the sale of energy drinks to individuals under the age of 21 will be prohibited in Kazakhstan. Additionally, selling such drinks through vending machines or other devices will not be allowed if a salesperson is unavailable.
If a seller doubts that a buyer is 21 years old, they have the right to request an identification document. If the buyer refuses to provide the document, the sale must be denied.
Furthermore, signs with relevant warnings must be displayed at sales points, indicating that energy drinks cannot be sold to individuals under the age of 21.
Violations of these regulations will result in fines for business owners.
