An earthquake occurred on the Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan border, reports the “Adyrna” national portal.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, on December 4, at 17:07 Astana time, the seismic stations network of “NNCSNI” LLP recorded an earthquake.
“The epicenter of the earthquake was located within Kyrgyzstan, 96 kilometers southwest of Almaty,” the statement said.
It was noted that no tremors were felt within Kazakhstan’s territory.
According to the Seismology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan, the earthquake had a magnitude of 3.6, and its epicenter was located 23 kilometers northwest of the city of Balykchy.
