President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Moldovan President Maia Sandu during the COP29 World Climate Summit in Baku, reports the “Adyrna” national portal, citing Akorda’s press service.

“During the meeting, opportunities to expand the traditional friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Moldova, particularly in trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian areas, were discussed,” stated Akorda’s press service.

Maia Sandu expressed confidence that Moldova’s plans to open an embassy in Astana next year would contribute to the development of cooperation between the two countries.

It should be noted that Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Baku on November 11 for a working visit. During this visit, the President of Kazakhstan met with world leaders, heads of international organizations, and business representatives.

Additionally, the President delivered a speech at the World Leaders Summit on climate change, where he was given the first speaking opportunity at the opening of the plenary session.
