In Karaganda, a pedestrian was hit by a bus due to slippery road conditions, reports the national portal “Adyrna.” According to the Karaganda Region Police Department, dozens of traffic accidents were recorded in the region due to a sudden drop in temperature, one of which resulted in a fatality.
On October 12, around 7 p.m., on Lipetskaya Street in Karaganda, a 53-year-old bus driver skidded on ice and hit a 56-year-old pedestrian. “The injured person was urgently taken to the hospital, but despite the doctors’ best efforts, they succumbed to their injuries,” stated the regional police department.
Due to the sudden worsening of weather conditions and traffic violations in the region, a total of 22 traffic accidents were recorded in the past 24 hours.
