The national portal “Adyrna” reports that in Kazakhstan, those evading military service could face a fine of up to 3.5 million tenge. According to Informburo, criminal charges may also be brought against those avoiding conscription. The Ministry of Defense emphasized that all citizens summoned for military service are required to report to the military commissariat. During the current fall draft, summons are being sent both in letter form and via SMS to individuals who must fulfill their duty to the country. Notifications have also been sent to their workplaces and educational institutions. If a summons cannot be delivered personally, internal affairs authorities will assist in ensuring the individual is brought to the military commissariat.
