Uzbekistan is concerned about the sharp escalation of the situation in the Middle East, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, as reported by the national portal “Adyrna.”
“Uzbekistan is concerned about the sharp escalation of the situation in the Middle East. We believe that the intensification of the conflict could have negative consequences for the entire international community and lead to increased risks in the region. We call on the opposing sides to exercise restraint and avoid actions that could further escalate the situation,” the statement from Uzbekistan’s foreign ministry reads.
Uzbekistan also emphasized the need to take measures aimed at resolving the conflict peacefully in accordance with international norms and the decisions of the UN Security Council.
