The "International Poetry Festival of Young Poets of the Turkic World" took place in Almaty from September 25 to 28. The festival was organized with the support of the Almaty City Administration, the International TÜRKSOY organization, and the "Tulga-Dostyk" Public Fund.
At the official opening on September 26, prominent figures such as Gani Maylybayev, Head of the Almaty City Culture Department, Kassymkhan Begmanov, Deputy Chairman of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan, Sultan Raev, Secretary-General of the International TÜRKSOY organization, Kanibek Imanaliev, Chairman of the Writers' Union of Kyrgyzstan, and renowned poet Ulukbek Yesdaulet, attended the event. Other intellectuals and poets, including Amandos Akanayev, Daniyar Alkeybayuly, Kairat Mukanov, and others, also participated.
During the opening, young poets from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan passionately recited their poetry.
The festival opened at the "Poetry Alley" and continued in the evening at the "Alatau" Traditional Art Theater. The poetry evening titled "The Voice of the Turks," held at the "Alatau" Traditional Art Theater, was opened by Arman Kalybekov, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture. Sultan Raev awarded the young poets with special medals and diplomas from TÜRKSOY.
On September 27, a tour of Almaty was organized, where the poets enjoyed the beautiful views of the city from Koktobe. In the afternoon, a meeting with students was held in the conference hall of the rectorate at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was hosted by the prominent writer and recipient of the International Alash Award, Nurghali Oraz.
The festival concluded on September 28 at the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was organized by Muratkhan Shokan, a poet, philosopher, member of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan, advisor to the Secretary-General of TÜRKSOY, and director of the "Tulga-Dostyk" Public Fund, with support from the members of the "Tulga-Dostyk Club" and the "Zereli" network of intellectual development schools. The young poets connected deeply during the festival, which contributed to the unity of the Turkic world.
