Mayor of Astana Zhenis Kasymbek presented an apartment to the champion and athletes of the Paralympic Games held in Paris, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
The head of the capital awarded Akmaral Nauatbek, the champion, a certificate of a 3-room apartment and a monetary reward of 30 millions tenge. Aydyn Anapin, the trainer of the athlete, was awarded 10 million tenge.
Athlete Yergali Shamey was awarded a certificate of a 2-room apartment and 25 millions tenge in cash, while his coach Dauren Orazov was awarded 7 million tenge.
"We will continue to support our athletes. In the same way, we will improve the city's sports infrastructure and create appropriate conditions for mass sports, including sports schools for children and teenagers," the mayor wrote on his Instagram page.
