Nursultan Nazarbayev's nephew Kairat Satybaldi was released on September 4, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
Kairat Satybaldy was sentenced to 6 years for corruption. The court granted his request for parole.
He was to spend the remaining 3 years, 3 months and 7 days of his sentence under probation supervision in Almaty.
His younger brother Samat Abish welcomed his brother out of prison. The court also sentenced him to 8 years of probation.

It should be noted that Kairat Satybal was arrested and detained in March 2022 on suspicion of abusing his official powers and stealing a large amount of funds from Kazakhtelecom JSC. Court No. 2 of Baikonur district of Astana city sentenced him to 6 years with confiscation of his property.
Also, in August of this year, Gulmira Satybaldi, the ex-wife of Kairat Satybaldi, was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
