As noted by the press service of Akmola region administration, keys were handed over to 200 people affected by the spring flood in Atbasar city and residents of flood-prone areas. Apartments have been provided for 127 families whose houses were deemed uninhabitable due to floods. Another 73 families will relocate from the flood-prone area of the district center.
"Today we witnessed a big event: 200 families got new apartments at once. Today's happy event is especially significant that the handing over of keys to the flood victims will take place on the eve of the Constitution Day celebrations. Let there be only happy events in the new apartments in the future," the head of the region noted.
New houses are located in a safe part of the city. The interior of the apartments is finished, each has plumbing fixtures and water heaters. In the yard there are children's playgrounds and workout areas, a football and basketball court.
