Kazakh judoka Eldos Smetov has significantly improved his position in the world ranking of the International Judo Federation (IJF) after winning the gold medal of the 2024 Olympics.
According to information, in the updated table of the weight class up to 60 kilograms, Smetov immediately rose 17 places and is now in fifth place.
Chinese Taipei's Yang Yun Wei leads the list, followed by France's Luca Mkheidze and Georgian judoka Giorgi Sardalashvili. The fourth line belongs to the Spaniard Francisco Garrigos.
