Karim Masimov, the former head of the National Security Committee, accused of treason, apologized to President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev and submitted a request for amnesty. This was stated by the NSC in its answer to the question of Informburo.kz, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
According to information, Karim Masimov is currently in the detention center of the National Security Committee in Astana by the decision of the Anti-Corruption Agency.
