The mayor of Eskeldi district of Zhetysu region was brought to administrative responsibility for violating the land legislation. The press service of the regional prosecutor's office wrote about this on June 6, "Adyrna" correspondent reported.
Prosecutors found that 120 hectares of land were given to individual farms without competition.
"According to the control act, these lands were returned to the state. In general, since the beginning of the year, Zhetysu prosecutors have returned more than 103 thousand hectares of agricultural land with a total cadastral value of more than half a billion tenge. These lands have not been developed for a long time, have not been used for their intended purpose, and have been given in violation of the land legislation," the report said.
