The research work of Svetlana Smagulova, research worker of Ahmet Baitursynuly Museum-House, professor of Abay National Pedagogical University named after Abai, titled "Zardab of Dark Years" was published. This was announced by the Association of Museums of the city of Almaty, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
The monographic work tells about the progress of various political campaigns, government oppression, protests and uprisings in the 30s of the 20th century. Focusing on the political situation, the author comprehensively analyzes the causes and consequences of the famine in 1931-1933, the actions of the government during the famine, the letters sent by Kazakh citizens to high places, the hunger of children, and the activities of national figures in curbing the famine.
