Armenia-Azerbaijan negotiations are taking place in Almaty

Today, May 10, the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia came to the Dostyk House in Almaty to hold bilateral talks, the correspondent of "Adyrna" reported.

The guests were welcomed by the head of the MFA of Kazakhstan, Murat Nurtileu, and the ministers went to the Round Hall to participate in the meeting ceremony. In 1991, the Almaty Declaration was signed in this hall. He established the foundations of the independent development of the CIS countries and approved the principles of defining interstate borders.

The Minister stated that Azerbaijan and Armenia were not only close brotherly countries for us, but also strategic partners and wished the parties fruitful work and reliable dialogue.

In their speeches, the heads of the foreign policy departments of Azerbaijan and Armenia expressed their gratitude to the Kazakh side for offering a platform for negotiations and for organizing the event at a high level.

After the meeting ceremony, the delegations of Azerbaijan and Armenia went to the adjacent hall to start negotiations in a bilateral format.

It should be noted that the main agenda of the meeting is the border issue between the two countries.
