On April 17, the XVI Congress of the Union of Cinematographers of Kazakhstan was held. Traditional singer Yerlan Toleutai, a glorifier of national art, wrote about this on his Facebook page, the national portal "Adyrna" reports.
The next congress held in the National Library was attended by the majority of the members of the Union of Cinematographers. First, the report of the previous management was heard and it was rated as satisfactory.
During the meeting, members of the Cinematographers' Union cast their votes for the election of a new chairman. As a result of the open vote, animation film director and film producer Aday Abilda was elected as the new head of the Cinematographers' Union.
