The water level in Zhayik river in Orinbor district of Russia's Orinbor region has risen to 1054 cm. The government of Orynbor region wrote about this today on its Telegram channel, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.

"As of 06:00 on April 11, the water level in the Zhaiyk River is 1054 cm," said the message issued by the district akimat.

Earlier, it was reported that the dam was broken in the Russian part of Zhaiyk and the evacuation of residents began. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced that it is in direct contact with its colleagues in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation and is monitoring the situation.
