Children's ombudsman Dinara Zakiyeva expressed her opinion about the draft law on family-domestic violence adopted by Majilis, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
"Today, the draft law on ensuring women's rights and children's safety, which we worked on for several months with the participation of state bodies, deputies and NGOs, was adopted in the first reading. At the beginning of the year, the Head of State stated that the most important principle in the fight against violence is the zero tolerance of this evil in society. The implementation of this postulate can be this draft law, which provides the preventive principle of punishment for violence," said Zakiyeva.
