The administration said what the three new metro lines will look like and where they will be located, the national portal "Adyrna" reports.
At the meeting held on January 25 with the participation of President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, plans for the development of the transport system of Almaty city, including plans for the further development of the subway and new lines, were presented.
In this regard, the city administration answered the question of Tengrinews.kz about what the three new metro lines will look like and where they will be located:
The length of the eastern line starting from the Silk Road station is 12.8 kilometers. This distance covers 8 stations. This route goes east along Gogol Street through the Central Park of Culture and Recreation to UAAZ, then northeast along Kulja Highway to the airport. One of the intermediate stations will be the "East" transport interchange in the transition zone from the UAAZ to the Kulja highway.
