The cost of compulsory car insurance will change from 2024. This was announced by the Financial Market Regulation and Development Agency, "Adyrna" reporter reported.
According to the board, the level of accidents in the region where the vehicle is registered will influence the insurance cost. The less accidents in the region, the lower the insurance rate.
"The new procedure for determining the cost of car insurance envisages adjusting the size of the region where the vehicle is registered by applying correction coefficients to them according to the level of accidents in the region. Adjustment coefficients will be determined annually by automated calculation in the unified insurance database. At the same time, all applicable other criteria, including the driving history, will be preserved," the press service of the agency said.
It is estimated that the cost of car insurance will decrease in 11 regions of Kazakhstan. Among them are Almaty city and Atyrau region. And in seven regions, insurance prices, on the contrary, may increase. In Karaganda and Ulytau regions, the insurance cost is expected to remain unchanged.
