The earthquake in Kyrgyzstan was felt in Taraz and Shymkent

The seismic stations network of “NNTSNI” LLP under the Ministry of Emergency Situations recorded an earthquake on October 6 at 01:29 Astana time, reports “Adyrna” national portal.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located in Kyrgyzstan, about 465 kilometers southwest of Almaty. The depth of the focus was 10 kilometers, with an energy class of 13.3 and a magnitude of MPV 5.9.

According to the MSK-64 scale, the earthquake was felt up to 4 points in Kazakhstan.

In Taraz, Sarykemer, and Zhualy district (near the village of Bauyrzhan Momyshuly) — up to 4 points;

In Lenger, Karatau, Sairam, and Shymkent — around 3 points;

In Zhanatas, Saryagash, Turkistan, and Zhetysai districts — around 2 points.

There were no reports of destruction or casualties.
