An explosion occurred at a gas station in Uzbekistan’s Kashkadarya region, according to the “Adyrna” national portal.
The incident took place on August 5 in the “Altyndala” neighborhood of the Kokdala district.
This is the second emergency at a gas station in the past 20 days.
According to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire broke out while liquefied propane gas was being transferred from a truck to a special storage tank on the gas station’s premises, eventually leading to an explosion.
Five firefighting and rescue teams arrived at the scene at 22:22. The fire was brought under control by 22:30 and fully extinguished by 22:50.
As a result of the incident, one tanker truck and a storage tank containing 10 cubic meters of liquefied propane were destroyed. The driver of the truck sustained minor burns and sought medical attention.
It is worth noting that a previous explosion occurred at another gas station in the same district on July 16, resulting in the deaths of four people.
