The head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the decree "On appointment of the election of the deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan from Abay, Zhetisu and Ulytau regions", reports the national portal "Adyrna".

The election of the deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan from Abay, Zhetisu and Ulytau regions should be scheduled for August 24, 2022.
Voting, determination of election results, and determination of the term of office of the deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall be established in accordance with Article 129 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan".
The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the governors of Abay, Zhetysu and Ulytau regions should take measures for the organizational, material, technical and financial support of the election of the deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan from Abay, Zhetysu and Ulytau regions.
This Decree shall be enforced from the date of its first official publication," the text of the decree reads.
