Former Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports Saken Musaybekov's Hermes bag was sold on the electronic trading platform. The deal amounted to 4.4 millions tenge, the national portal Adyrna reports citing orda.kz.

The bag was put up for auction in April this year. The bag was confiscated from Saken Musaibekov, then convicted deputy minister of culture and sports.

The court transferred him from the article "Bribery" to the article "Fraud" and sentenced him to a fine of 62 million tenge.

The confiscation was estimated at 8.5 millions tenge, but it could not be sold. The lot was republished on May 13. The bag was sold for the second time, but only for half the price.

Government agencies often sell gifts and confiscated property. For example, in May of this year, luxury cars of the convicted leaders of "Olimp.kz bookmaker's office" LLP, "Alpha bet" LLP and "Textbet" LLP were put up for auction.

In March, the Department of State Property and Privatization of Kostanay put up for auction a box of sweets "Kazakhstan" and a box of instant coffee.
