Kazakhstani airlines will be obliged to pay compensation for flight delays, the national portal Adyrna reports citing Zakon.kz.
"There are some airlines that are often late. We hope that this will regulate them. Passengers will receive 3% of the ticket price for each hour of flight delay, but not more than the ticket price," said Majilis deputy Albert Rau.
This amendment was included in the draft law on transport issues, which was approved by the deputies in the first reading at the plenary session of the Majilis.
