Belarus will hold a constitutional referendum on February 27. Belarus has amended about half of its constitution and is now considering it.

At today's meeting of the Security Council of Belarus, President Alexander Lukashenko spoke about the events in Kazakhstan.
"The constitution must ensure the security and stability of our country. There are many threats now. The January events in Kazakhstan are a clear proof of that. It is a direct threat to Russia and our country. It threatens the entire post-Soviet space," he said.
