A book translated from Chinese into Kazakh was officially launched in Astana, according to the national portal “Adyrna.”
The Kazakh-language edition of “The Governance of China” by Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, was officially presented at a ceremony held at Nazarbayev University. The event brought together around 300 representatives from political parties, media, think tanks, and universities from both China and Kazakhstan.
The four-volume work was translated into Kazakh through a joint effort between China’s “Nationalities Publishing House” and Kazakhstan’s “Foliant” publishing house. The book has already been translated into 42 languages worldwide.
The collection includes excerpts from Xi Jinping’s speeches, directives, interviews, and letters since 2012. It
outlines the Chinese President’s views on domestic and foreign policy as well as social and economic development strategies.
Notably, the compilation features Xi Jinping’s 2013 speech at Nazarbayev University, where he first introduced the global trade and infrastructure initiative known as the “Belt and Road.”
Serik Irsaliyev, President of the Astana International Scientific Complex, emphasized the historical significance of the event and noted the substantial achievements made over more than a decade of implementing the initiative.
Gulnar Shaimerdenova, Director of the China Studies Center in Astana, stated that the initiative now connects over 150 countries worldwide and that Kazakhstan was one of its earliest supporters.
