Edgar Mamedov, a chess player from Aktau, has become the youngest international grandmaster in Kazakhstan, according to the national portal “Adyrna.” At just 14 years old, Edgar set a new national record. This was announced by the Mangystau Regional Public Communications Center. “Edgar had already achieved three grandmaster norms and reached a FIDE rating of 2492 — just 8 points short of the required 2500.
