Kazakhstani young chess player Kairat Abdul-Malik won the world championship in the under-7 category in Vrnjačka Banja, Serbia, reports the national portal “Adyrna.” The Kazakhstan Chess Federation announced the news. Abdul-Malik secured 8 points before the final round, leading his closest rival by one point. In the decisive match, he defeated Indian player Om Yesh Gottumukkala.
