Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles III is being treated for cancer, the national portal "Adyrna" reports with reference to the BBC website.
During the healing period, he will continue his ceremonial duties, but will reportedly refrain from public events.
According to a palace statement, the king is positive about his treatment and looks forward to a full return to all his public duties.
A spokesman for the royal did not say what kind of cancer he had, but noted that it was not prostate cancer.
Last week, the king was released from the hospital after undergoing surgery for an enlarged prostate. In the palace, it was said that this pathology is not dangerous.
